Teachers can create groups in Brightspace, for example, for submitting group assignments. You can find these groups by clicking on Users in the course navigation bar, and then selecting Groups.
Here, you will see whether the instructor has manually assigned the groups or if Brightspace has automatically created them. If the groups were created automatically, you will see the groups you are part of under My Groups. If the teacher has chosen self-enrollment, you can sign yourself up for a group in Brightspace.
Enroll in a group
Click on View Available Groups for an overview of the groups you can enroll in.
Choose a group and click on Join Group. The group will now appear under My Groups.
If you made a mistake and want to unenroll, click on Leave Group. Make sure to do this before the end date, as it will no longer be possible to enroll or unenroll after that.
