For most courses in Brightspace, you need to register in Osiris to gain access to the course. However, for some courses, registration does not go through Osiris, and you will need to enroll yourself in the course. Always check this with the instructor first.

If the instructor tells you that you need to enroll yourself in the Brightspace course, you can do so in the following way:

On the Brightspace homepage, you will see Discover in the navigation bar. Click on it.

Here you will see all courses that are open for self-enrollment. You can use the search bar to find the course you want to enroll in

Next, click on the course you want to enroll in. The following screen will appear. Click Enrol in Course

You will then receive a message that you have successfully enrolled, or that approval is required before your enrollment is complete. Once this is done, the course will appear on your Brightspace homepage and you will have access to it.

To unenroll from a course you have enrolled yourself in within Brightspace, log in and go to the Discover tab. Select the course you want to unenroll from, click the three-dot icon, and choose Unenrol.
